The Director - Rodrigo Aragão

Capichaba (person from Espirito Santo- Brazil) born in January, 1977, Rodrigo Aragão directs his movies from Guarapari, where he lives since he was a little child. Son of an ex-magician, who also was an owner of a cinema, was raised in wheel of tricks and makeups. The idea of that being his future, came early: at the age of seven he saw a documentary of The Empire Strikes Back. There was what he liked the most: cinema and special effects, though he didn't know well what it meant. It was the decade of 1980, when came to the screens The Evil Dead (1981), classic of the terror that stopped for (de)forming his ideal: makeup and scenic tricks had never been so important at the moment of scare.

A period doing courses and workshops gave him the sensation of being ready. The initiation comes in 1994, as make-up artist in the short film A Lenda de Proitner (The Proitner's legend), followed, in 1996 by Vampicida, another short, today dark. The premiere in the direction happened in the theater, with the play of horror Mausoleum, in billboard from 2000 to 2003. From there, he launched his own projects, with Chupa Cabras (2004), Peixe Podre (Rotten Fish) (2005), Peixe Podre II (Rotten Fish II) (2006), all short films, and Mud Zombie, the first feature film.
